Finding your perfect coin
Our coin bracelets and necklaces are proving to be a popular way to celebrate birthdays and special anniversaries. They're also selling well as a beautiful fashion item. And the sixpences are a lovely gift for a bride:
"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence for her shoe". The tradition was to put a sixpence in the bride's shoe, but many are choosing to wear them for luck :-)
We can do a range of bracelet or necklace styles, in sterling silver, white gold, rose gold or yellow gold. And of course, we are very happy to custom design something for you.
We have a limited selection of coins available to use, from my grandfather's coin collection (pennies, sixpences, florins) and some reproduction coins in sterling silver. Here's some examples:
We set this coin from Zimbabwe that had a special sentimental value for a customer recently as a personalised Valentine's Day gift. Read more about that story here.
If you are after a particular year or type of coin, internet shopping is your friend!
The Royal Australian Mint sells these penny tokens in all years from 1965 onwards (since Australia moved to decimal currency). They also have a range of special edition, uncirculated coins, and coins made in sterling silver and gold.
We also find ebay very useful. If I just type in 'coin 1965' many options from around the world come up, including some from around the $10 mark. There's some stunning designs!
Whatever coin you love, we can set it for you, and create a beautiful piece of jewellery.
